Architect Dave Anders decided to branch out on his own after 15 years of school, and medical projects working with larger firms. Eight years ago, he began his own firm with Krysia Falltrick. Although the team still provides services for commercial, government, and institutional clients, their current focus is on developing affordable housing options for the Sacramento area.
When it came to selecting a new office space in 2009, shared office space was at the top of his list.
“I designed executive suites for other clients,” said Anders, “so I went straight for that. I knew the benefits involved.”
As Dave’s company has expanded, they’ve been able to take advantage of taking more suites within the same complex.
“The future is looking bright,” he said, “The workload is improving. We’ve already expanded the space once and there may be more expansion in the future.”
Relying on the staff at Pacific Business Centers has been key to the firm’s expansion.
“I appreciate that Pacific Business Centers is well run – the staff is very professional,” Anders commented, “They are friendly to my clients. The clients come in for meetings and the office facility represents my company very well.”
The team recently finished the conversation of a once-dilapidated 1960s-era motel on Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento.
“We stripped it to the studs and remodeled it into 75 units to house formerly homeless people. In addition to housing, the project has many support services, including counseling, job training and life skills training,” he stated.
